Quickly on their way to national treasure status, the ‘Slo-Mo’ guys are once again filming cool shit in slow motion. From John Woo and The Matrix giving us an appreciation for slo-mo face punching to seeing Ashely Young dives in all their glory; slo mo makes everything a bit better really.
Today’s video concerns a fire tornado. No, you’re not mistaken; this isn’t one of those phrases that misrepresent the described’s true nature: kidnapping isn’t a way for tired tots to conserve their energy, but a fire tornado IS a tornado of fire!
To create a tornado fire all you will need is 12 box fans and a vessel to contain a fire. The guys set up a circle of the box fans and simply light a fire in the middle. Once the flame is successfully fanned it grows into a fire tornado. The real magic happens when they set one of their fancy HD slo-mo voodoo camera’s to film a close up of the tornado.
